Bhubaneswar: The Odisha chief minister, Naveen Patnaik, Friday announced Rs 2200 crore financial package for poor and daily wagers.
All the 94 lakh families covered under Food Security Act will be provided with Rs 1000 each.This will cost Rs 940 crore to the State exchequer.
All the 22 lakh construction workers will be provided Rs 1500 each. This will cost Rs330 crore to the exchequer.
The government will provide Rs 932 crore to disburse the monthly pensions to 48 lakh beneficiaries those were covered under various social security schemes.
Earlier, the government has provided 3 months rations to the families covered under Food Security Act.
