Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has decided to give promotions to doctors under the dynamic assured career progression (DACP) scheme by 30th April 2020 relaxing the conditions for such promotions.
The promotions of the medical officers of Odisha Medical & Health Services (OMHS) Cadre under DACP scheme had been announced a year back. But the medical officers were not getting promotion under scheme due to want of PARs. The minimum requirement of PARs is of preceding 7 years.
” In order to fastrack DACP, Govt. has allowed one time relaxation for promotion under DACP scheme considering at least the PARs of 03 years out of preceding 07 years”, said press release issued by the CMO office.
The DACP Scheme assures all government medical officers three assured promotions after 7 years, 14 years and 21 years of contineus service of their entry level.
The government’s decision has come on the wake of the services rendered by the medical officers in the present situation of COVID-19 pandemic. The Medical Officers of Odisha Medical and Health Services (OMHS) cadre are at the forefront of the State health sector play a vital role in management of COVID-19.
