Cuttack: The Odisha police DGP, Abhay, expressed his satisfaction over the police arrangement to enforce COVID-19 Lockdown in Dhenkanal district.
Abhay along with North Central Range IG Nursing Bhol visited Dhenkal Tuesday and reviewed the police arrangement for COVID-19 Lockdown in the district. He interacted with SP Dhenkanal to understand the issues in the field. He also took review on the stock position of essential commodities in the district and gave clear instructions that there should be no hoarding of groceries and movement of essential commodities and medicines should not be restricted.
He emphasized on the need of police officials to be polite and firm during the Lockdown period. DGP instructed that all cases of quarantine violations and Lockdown violations should be closely monitored by District Police and action to be taken as per law. He also stressed that police deployment should be carried out in a manner that field officers get at least one day off. He also visited the barracks and reviewed the sanitation aspects of places where police are accommodated. He gave clear instructions to police officers to maintain social distance and practice healthy sanitization practices.
He examined the functioning of District Control Room and gave valuable instructions which will help district police facilitate public grievances and doubts effectively.
He also visited the OSAP 1st Battalion Campus and barracks and examined the arrangements made in the respect of hygiene and sanitation in the event of COVID 19.
