New Delhi: “Coronavirus may return in winter this year”.
This has been said by the AIIMS director Dr. Randeep Guleria, who is now heading the Clinical Research Group, National Task Force for Covid-19.
Dr. Guleria said nCoronavirus is going to stay for about a year in India. “We have to learn to live with it”, he added.
“The 40 days lockdown has flatten the curve. But, the matter of concern is that the curve is not going down”
“Next 6-8 weeks are very important for the impact of summer on the virus would be known” he said.
Dr.Guleria, while interacting in e-ADDA organised by The Indian Express newspaper on Monday, said that the nation strategically now need to target the hotspots and keep the orange and green zones under control.
Stating that several groups of institution are working on a treatment, Dr. Guleria said within a couple of months good news will come.
