New Delhi: The prime minister, Narendra Modi, Saturday launched Rs 50,000 crore Garib Kalyan Yojana, Rs 50,000 crore public through video conferencing.

Migrant workers those have returned to their villages would provided 125 days job under the scheme. The scheme would be rolled out in 116 districts of six States of Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. As many as 25 schemes have been identified to be undertaken with the Rs 50,000 crore Garib Kalyan Rojgar Yojana.

The PM launched the programme from Telihar village of Beldour block of Bihar’s Khagaria district by pressing remote button.

Modi interacted with the migrant workers those have returned to their village Telehar after the lock down announced following the broke out of Covid-19 pandemic in the country.
