Rourkela: Seven executives of Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) were presented with the Star Performer Awards in a programme organised at ED(Works) office , here on Monday.
D K Mohapatra, ED(MM) and Incharge ED(Works) presided over the function and presented the awards for the 3rd quarter of the Financial Year 2019-20. Several senior officers of the Plant attended the event through video-conferencing.
The awardees were: Kamar Ali Khan. AGM (Coke Ovens), Tushar Kanti Roy, Senior Manager (Blast Furnaces – Mechanical), Jyoti Basu Martham, AGM (Steel Melting Shop-II – Electrical), Arun Kumar Behera, Senior Manager ( Pipe Plant – Electrical), Pramod Kumar Behera, Manager (FMM), Rajesh Kumar, Senior Manager (CPP-I – Mechanical) and P Vedantha Rao, AGM(Contract Cell – Works).
Somdutt Tripathy, Deputy Manager (Personnel-OD) was the Master of Ceremony.
The ‘Star Performer of the Quarter’ Award was introduced in October’2016 to recognize the executives in E1 to E5 level for exceptional contribution in the area of production, productivity, cost reduction, improvement in techno-economic parameters etc. in their respective departments, on a quarterly basis. So far, 99 executives have won this coveted award.
