Odisha Ranks 8th among States in Cleanliness Survey by Centre

New Delhi: Odisha has secured 8th rank among the States in the country in the Swachh Survekshan 2020.

The Swachh Survekshan 2020 has ranked cleaned States having over 100 urban local bodies(ULBs). Odisha has scored 1353.22 in the ranking to finish eighth.

While Chattisgarh topped the list, Maharastra and Madhya Pradesh are in the second and third position.

The union housing and urban affairs minister, Hardeep Singh Puri, Thursday announced the ranking of the States, cities and towns accomplished in the Swachh Suvekshan 2020.

While Indore has been adjudged as India’s cleanest city for the fourth straight year in the Central government’s cleanliness survey, the second and third positions in the category have been grabbed by Surat and Navi Mumbai respectively.
