Rourkela: Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has set a new record by producing 13,316 tonnes of Hot Metal on 15th October from three Blast Furnaces. The previous best of 13,115 tonnes was recorded on 7th February 2019 from the same three furnaces.
Out of the 13,316 Tonnes, Blast Furnace-1 has contributed 2797 Tonnes, Blast Furnace-4 made 2463 Tonnes while the remaining 8056 Tonnes have been produced by Blast Furnace-5.
The feat was achieved with noteworthy contributions from all the associated departments like Sinter Plant, Raw Material Handling Plant, Coke Ovens, Traffic and Raw Material, Captive Power Plant, Oxygen Plant, Production, Planning and Control Department and Research and control Laboratory and the determined efforts of the Blast Furnace collective.
Despite the constraints faced by COVID-19 the Rourkela Steel Plant collective is leaving no stones unturned to give its best and taking the Steel Plant forward on the path of progress.
