Bhubaneswar: Pensioners in Odisha now need not have to visit Treasuries to collect their Form-16.
As part of 5T initiative to bring service delivery closer to the doorstep of pensioners especially during the challenging times of Covid-19 pandemic, State government Friday introduced a facility for pensioner/ family pensioners which will now enable them to download Form-16 (Income Tax) from IFMS portal for the tax deducted by the treasury from their pension as per provision of Income Tax Act.
This will help the pensioner/ family pensioners to file their Income Tax return without physically visiting the treasuries for collection of Form-16.
This will be applicable for all pensioners/family pensioners of State government and Aided Educational Institutions drawing pension from treasuries within the State of Odisha.
In case the pensioner/ family pensioners face any difficulty in downloading his /her Form-16 from IFMS portal, he/she may contact the respective treasury officer over telephone/email to get the Form-16 or email to the directorate of treasuries (dticentrallocation@gmail.com)
