Bhubaneswar: Restrictions have been imposed on Zero Night celebrations on the night of December 31 due to Covid-19.
Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has made it cleare that the current Covid-19 guidelines doesn’t allow any sort of celebrations on New Year’s Eve.
BMC commissioner Prem Chandra Chaudhury stated, “December 31st celebration is not allowed as of now. The Covid-19 guidelines for December doesn’t allow any type of large gathering, social or political, apart from marriages and other rituals with a limited gathering”.
Meanwhile, the BMC has come up with a special provision for Christmas celebrations amid the pandemic and the commissioner today has assured that people can celebrate Christmas this year by strictly adhering to social distancing norms.
