Bhubaneswar: The 02822 Chennai-Howrah Mail Special escaped from a major disaster on Saturday due to the chanced detection of the hot axle by the guard of the train.
The guard of Train detected an Hot Axle, in a deneral second class coach (2nd from Rear) at Sompeta. Prompt action by the Railway administration saved the life of 90 passenger boarded in the coach.
The said coach is being detached at Sompeta. The passengers were accommodated in other coaches, till Bhubaneswar.
At Bhubaneswar station, a general second class coach will be attached and passengers will be again shifted to this coach, said an East Coast Railway spokesperson.
