Bhubaneswar: Setting a target to procure 13,350 tonnes of green gram (Mung), 700 tonnes of black gram (Biri), 7,775 tonnes of ground nut and 675 tonnes sunflower seeds during the 2020-21 Ravi season, Odisha government is going to launch a procurement drive from May 13 to August 10 in the State.
The State food supply & cooperative minister, Ranendra Pratap Swain, said that the pulses and oil seeds will be procured at Minimum Support Price (MSP) fixed by the government of India. The MSP fixed for green gram is Rs 7,196 for quintal, Rs 6,000 for black gram , Rs 5,275 for ground nut and Rs 5,885 for sunflower seeds by the Centre for the Rabi season 2020-21.
