Bhubaneswar: Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik Friday released Rs 920 crore financial assistance to over 42 lakh farmers of the State under KALIA Yojana. The money has gone directly to the bank accounts of the beneficiary farmers.
Speaking on the occasion Patnaik said KALIA is the best farmers welfare scheme in the country as it covers landless farmers, share croppers and farm laborers too.
State agriculture minister Dr. Arun Sahu said that KALIA money has come as a great help to the farmers during this Covid-19 pandemic time.
The chief secretary, Suresh Chandra Mohapatra, CM’ s chief advisor R Balakrishnan, WODC chairman Asit Tripathy and many senior officers were present.
