Bhubaneswar: The Software Technology Park of India is going to promote a Centre of Excellence (CoE) at Bhubaneswar in Odisha.
According to STPI director general Omkar Rai, the STPI will promote 12 CoEs in the country including Bhubaneswar. The CoEs are to come up at Bangaluru (AIC STPINEXT, CoE for healthcare, Big Data and AI), Akola (IoT in agriculture CoE), Bengaluru (efficiency augmentation CoE), Gandhinagar (Fintech CoE), Patna (Smart Agri IoT CoE), Visakhapatnam (Industry 4.0 Technology CoE), Gangtok (IT application in health & agritech), Itanagar (GIS appications including drone technology), Kohima (IT application in graphic design), Aizawl (gaming), and Agartala (Data Analytics).
STPI has in the past launched 13 CoEs at Chennai, Mohali, Bangaluru, Pune, New Delhi, Gurugram, Hyderabad, Guwahati, Shillong, Imphal, Bhubaneswar and Lucknow. The CoEs are in various emerging technology areas such as AI and computer vision, IoT, fintech, blockchain, augmented &virtual reality, gaming & animation.
