Bhubaneswar: Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik Friday raised the issue of short supply of fertilizers to the State during the ongoing kharif season.
Patnaik, in a letter to theunion fertilizer minister Mansukh Mandaviya, urged to restore normal supply of fertilizers such as DAP and MOP to the State. Stating that while the supply of urea fertilizer is as per requirement till July 2022, there is short supply in DAP and MOP fertilizers. During the current kharif season as on 31.07.2022, the overall DAP availability has been 69% against the pro rata requirement with a shortfall of 46,877 MT. Similarly, there is a short supply of 1000 MT of MOP fertizers, he has mentioned.
Patnaik has urged the union minister to restore normalcy in fertizer supply of DAP and MOP as there is a demand due to good monsoon this season.
