Bhubaneswar: National Aluminium Company Ltd. (Nalco) set to go for lithium exploration and mining in Argentina.
in a landmark step towards ensuring critical mineral security for the nation, KABIL and CAMYEN entered into a landmark agreement for first-ever Lithium Exploration and Mining project in Argentina. As a leading partner of KABIL, Nalco is proud to work towards an ‘Aatmanirbhar’ Bharat. KABIL will start exploration and development of 5 lithium blocks in Argentina. This strategic move not only strengthens the bilateral ties but will ensure a resilient and diversified supply chain for critical and strategic minerals essential for various industries.
The MoU signing ceremony was virtually graced by union coal mimister Pralhad Joshi and secretary mines V. L. Kantha Rao, while India’s Ambassador to Argentina Dinesh Bhatia, Nalco CMD and KABIL Chairman Sridhar Patra and KABIL CEO and NALCO’s Director (Commercial) Sadashiv Samantaray were present on the occasion.
