Bhubaneswar: Commissionig of Talcher Fertilizer plant in Odisha has been fast tracked. The project, by now, has achieved overall construction progress of, by now, over 60%.
Talcher Fertilizer Ltd., a joint venture of CIL, GAIL, RCF and FCIL, is setting up an coal gassification based urea plant in place of the now wound up coal based urea plant in Talcher.
The conctruction work is progressing with additional equity infusion by CIL. The CIL CMD PM Prasad has told the 50th AGM of the company that the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has approved for additional equity investment by CIL in TLF beyond the ceiling mandate by the Department of Public Enterprises (DPE).
