Bhubaneswar : Speakers at the freshers orientation programme, organised by NIIS Group Institutions, Bhubaneswar, here in the NIIS campus on the occassion of Teachersday on Thursday, said that the students should hone their knowkedge and skill to meet the challenges posed by the fast changing business landscape.
Chaired by NIIS founder-cum-secretary Dr. Subhash Chandra Nayak, the seminar was addressed by OUAT vice chancellor Dr. Pravat Kumar Roul, Amnaya Corporation, US, board member, Partha Sarathi Mishra, former Odisha State Information Commissioner Dilip Kumar Bisoi, principal, NIIS Institute of Business Administration Dr. Rajesh Sain, principal, NIIS Institute of Information Science & Management Dr. Ajit Narayan Mohanty, CEO Smrutisudha Nayak, Dr. Sradhanjali Nayak of department of MCA, and Prof. Debyani Mishra.
Dr. Roul said students should seriously pursue their studies particularly those are in professional courses to shine in their future career.
Dilip Kumar Bisoi said the employment environment is changing very fast. So the students should update their knowledge so that the rate of knowledge be faster thant the change.
Partha Sarathi Mishra said that change is inevitable. So, students should be prepared to face the new challenges.
Earlier, former minister and parliamentarian Dr. Prasanna Patasani inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp.
Dr. Dushmanta Kumar Patnaik, deputy director, NIIS Institute of Business Administration, gave the introductory address.
Students were inducted to various PG courses like MBA, MCA on the auspicious day of Guru Divas.
