Bhubaneswar: The 1st IEEE International Conference on Advances in Signal Processing, Power, Communication, and Computing (ASPCC-2024) commenced Thursday at IIIT Bhubaneswar. This marked the beginning of a three-day global event, organized by the Departments of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering (ETC) and Electrical Engineering (EEE) of IlIT Bhubaneswar, in collaboration with IEEE Bhubaneswar subsection of ASPCC- 2024 aims to serve as a platform for researchers, industry experts, and academicians to exchange transformative ideas and foster innovation.

The inaugural ceremony began with welcome address by Prof. Ashish Ghosh, (Patron and Director, IlIT-Bhubaneswar), who emphasized the importance of hosting such a prestigious event to address modern-day challenges and drive advancements in technology. This was followed by an inspiring address by Prof Ram Bilas Pachori, (IlT-Indore), highlighting the theme of the conference.

The guest of honor, Prof Subhransu Ranjan Samantaray, (I|T-Bhubaneswar) emphasized the relevance of the conference tracks In fostering innovation and addressing real-world problems.

Odisha minister for Law, Excise & Work, Prithviraj Harichandan delivered the chief guest’s address. In his speech, Harichandan congratulated IIIT-Bhubaneswar for hosting a globally significant conference and emphasized the role of research and development in driving progress and creating a robust foundation for future generations.
ASPCC-2024 has witnessed an overwhelming response with 155 submissions from across the globe. Papers were received from countries such as India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Westminster, with notable contributions from experts in Singapore Norway, and India.

A rigorous review process ensured the selection of high-quality papers, which will be presented across various sessions during the conference. The inaugural session concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Pradyut Kumar Biswal, (Organizing Chair), who expressed gratitude to he dignitaries, organizing committees, participants, and collaborators for their contributions.

The session was anchored by Dr. Lipika Das and the event was guided by Dr. Umamani Subudhi.
