Joda/Barbil: Jindal Steel & Power (JSP) celebrated India’s 76th Republic Day with patriotic spirit across its Barbil pellet plant and iron ore mines in Tensa and Kasia.
The celebrations commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag by Purushotham M D, Unit Head, Barbil Pellet Plant. Similarly, Pramod Patra, Unit Head, Kasia Iron and Dolomite Mines and Abhimanyu Samal, Unit Head (In-Charge), TRB Iron Mines in Tensa, unfurled the tricolour at their respective locations. The events were attended with great enthusiasm and pride by employees, their families and business associates.
In a special message, JSP’s chairman, Naveen Jindal said, “India became a Republic on January 26, 1950, with the adoption of its Constitution. On this day, I pay tribute to the Constitution makers, freedom fighters and brave soldiers whose sacrifices enable our freedom. The Republic stands firm on three pillars—Legislature, Executive and Judiciary—empowered by ‘We, the People of India.’ It is our responsibility to uphold the principles of justice, liberty, equality and fraternity enshrined in the Constitution.
Over the past 75 years, India has achieved remarkable milestones, from the Bhakra Nangal Dam to space missions like Chandrayaan, Aditya-L1, and the forthcoming Gaganyaan. Infrastructure projects such as Atal Setu, Chenab Rail Bridge, Atal Tunnel, new airports, and expanded metro and rail networks have propelled India into the league of rapidly advancing nations.”
On social media platform X, Jindal added, “The tricolour is not just a flag; it is a symbol of our unity, integrity and national identity. Under it, we are all equal, and our sole identification is Indian.”
To mark the occasion, vibrant cultural programs were organized across all three units, where employees and their families showcased their patriotic spirit through enthusiastic participation.
