Bhubaneswar: Odisha is set to change the urban landscape with an aim to developing smarter and sustainable cities under the “Viksit Odisha@2036” vision. The 21st Dashboard Meeting, held here under the chairmanship of H & UD Principal Secretary Ms. Usha Padhee deleberated on empowering Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) to implement impactful projects within established timelines.

The meeting emphasized the critical role of ULBs in driving urban development projects. Strategies were discussed to enhance their capacity to execute projects that contribute to the state’s vision of sustainable urbanization.

Senior officials were instructed to ensure that ULBs provide regular weekly progress updates. This directive aims to maintain momentum and accountability in project execution, ensuring adherence to set timelines.

The meeting also highlighted the importance of selecting and implementing projects that have a significant positive impact on urban living conditions, infrastructure, and sustainability.
