Bhubaneswar: In a significant step towards enhancing power supply in the Pipili- Delang region, TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL) has commissioned two new 33kV feeder lines on Saturday. , under the ODSSP Phase-IV initiative. ODSSP IV is a State programme under Mukhyamantri Shakti Vikas Yojana aimed at improving reliability and quality of power distribution in rural areas of Odisha.
The infrastructure was formally inaugurated by Pipili MLA Ashrit Pattanayak. The new lines connect Satasankha Grid Substation (GSS) to Kumareswar Primary Substation (PSS) and Patnaik Chowk, with a combined investment of ₹6.6 crore and ₹6.135 crore respectively. Spanning a total feeder length of 10.2 CKM, these upgrades will provide a substantial boost to the quality and reliability of electricity in the region.
The improved network is expected to benefit around 1 4,000 consumers in Sakhigopal and 12,000 consumers in Satasankha, addressing issues such as voltage fluctuations and frequent outages, while supporting future load growth.
MLA Ashrit Pattanayak praised the initiative, stating,.”This project reflects the government’s and TPCODL’s commitment to delivering reliable and robust power infrastructure to the people of Pipili, Sakhigopal and Satasankha”.
