Dubai: Odia diaspora living in United Arab Emirates (UAE) celebrated Rathyatra, here at Spring Dales School on Sunday. Over 2000 devotees gathered on the occasion making the atmoaphere devine blessed.

The rituals of Rathyatra was statred on the auspicious day of Sri Gundicha on July 16, here in Nitai Gaura Ashram.

On Sunday, the rituals of Chaturdha Murti was statred with Surya Narayan Puja in the morning. After Mangala Alati Balabhoga was distributed among the devotees.

Amidst chanting of Jai Jaganath by thousands of devotees that filled air, the deities were taken to Rathas after Pahandi Bije. The deities were treated in Madhyan Dhoopa with Chapan Bhog prepared by women. Odissi dancers performed before the Rathas which was followed by the ritual of Chera Panhara. The Chariot was pulled by devotees with all devotion and enthusiasm amidst the sound of hulahuli, conch, cymbals.

The devotees were served with Prasada prepared specially for occasion.

The singers of Emirates Odia Parivar Society rendered Jagannath Bhajan in the evening. The deities were taken to Mausima place after Sandhya Dhoopa.
