New Delhi : Jindal Steel Ltd. Friday announced the appointment of Vidya Rattan Sharma as Additional Director and Managing Director of the Company for a term of two years, effective July 24, 2026.
Sharma, a distinguished industry technocrat who previously served as Managing Director from 2019 to 2022 and Deputy MD & CEO from 2010 to 2014, brings back four decades of global leadership experience in the steel, power, and mining sectors to guide Jindal Steel into its next growth phase.
In a comprehensive effort to strengthen its executive leadership suite and support its expanding footprint, Jindal Steel Ltd. also announced the other key appointments, effective July 24, 2026.
Sandeep Modi is the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Key Managerial Personnel. Modi brings over two decades of financial leadership, having previously served as CFO of Hindustan Zinc Limited, Bharat Aluminium Company Limited (BALCO), and Talwandi Sabo Power Limited.
Consequent to this appointment, Sunil Agrawal, who served as Interim CFO, steps down from the role but will continue to oversee the Finance function.
Rajiv Kumar has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer (COO). A Metallurgical Engineer with over 35 years of steel sector leadership—including roles as CEO of Vedanta Aluminium and VP Operations (Kalinganagar) at Tata Steel—Kumar will oversee operations across all plants and mining sites.
Sukhjit S. Pasricha has been appointed as Head – Human Resources. Bringing nearly 30 years of HR experience across major brands like IndiGo, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Bajaj Finance, and Airtel, Pasricha will lead the talent transformation agenda.
