Sambalpur: Country’s leading Central -sector aluminium producer manfuacturer Nalco and Odisha State Open University(OSOU) are going to collaborate in rendering skill-based training to the youth of western Odiasha.
The Nalco CMD, Tapan Chand, while addressing the function organised to commemorate the fourth foundation day of the university, here on Modnay, said that Nalco has sought the collaboration of the OSOU for rendering skill-based training to the youth of western Odisha. The university vice chancellor, Srikant Mohaptra, said that the university is in the process of drafting a proposal to enhance the employablity of the underprivileged, young job seekers.
Usha Martin University vice chancellor SC Garg, Director, Educational Technology & Management Academy, New Delhi, Marmar Mukhopadhya, VSSUT vice chancellor Atal Chaudhri, and fromer local MLA RaseswariPanigrahi also graced the occasion.
The event also saw the University signing two MOUs with Usha Martin University, Ranchi and Jean Foundation, New Delhi, for mutual exchange of self-learning materials.
The World Bank had identified the University for a financial aid of Rs 25 crore for quality and excellence in higher education in the state.
