Bhubaneswar: The state higher education minister, Arun Sahu, Thursday said that education and research in the state educational institutions would made of international standard. He emphasised on unitary entrance examination for admission into post graduate courses and uniform syllabus for under graduate courses in the state.
Sahu was interacting with vice chancellors of 11 universities of the state.
The minister said that the state government would take all steps to address their problems with a view to enhance the standard of the education in the state. He assured that all the vacancies in the teaching posts would be filled up soon.
Sahu, however, urged the vice chancellors to keep the university campus free of outsiders.
Higher education secretary Saswat Mishra said that steps have been taken for sweeping reforms in education system. The vice chairman of higher education council Ashok Das, member and additional secretary Krupasindhu Misra stressed the need for educational institutions going for NAAC accreditation to maintain the standard of education.
