New Delhi: The prime minister, Narendra Modi, said that India is going emphasise on exports.
“Let there not be any country where India does not export something”, he said while adding, “Let there also be no district in India that does not export anything”.
He was addressing the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort on the occasion of the 73rd Independence Day.
The prime minister said that the country is going to be a 5 trillion US dollar economy in next five years . Taking a dig at the opposition congress, he said that economy was 2 trillion dollar in 70 years, and in the last five years it added up 1 trillion dollars to its economy.
Announcing Jal Jeevan Mission for realising the Har Ghar Jaal vision or safe drinking water for every house, the prime minister said Rs 3.59 lakh crore would be spent to achieve this goal.
Stating that the country has made progress in creating an environment for Ease of Doing Business, he said that the aim is now making the country Ease of Living.
“Today we have progress a lot in Ease of Doing Business but this is only a temporary halt, our goal is Ease of Living”, he said.
