New Delhi: The Indian Railways has decided to introduce two separate trains for Jagdalpur in Chhattisgarh and Junagarh in Kalahandi district from Bhubaneswar.
Currently, the Hirakhand express, which starts from Bhubaneswar, carries 12 bogies for Jagdalpur while leaving 10 bogies at Rayagada railway station to be carried to Junagarh. This arrangement was creating lot of confusion and many a times the passenger for wrong boarding found themselves landed at Jagdalpur station.
Following the demands from the passengers from Kalahandi, the union petroleum minister Dharmendra Pradhan had written a letter to the union railway minister Piyus Goyal suggesting for running a new separate trains for Junagarh instead of Hirakhand express leaving Junagarh bound bogies at Rayagada station.
Pradhan has received a letter from the union railway minister on Monday confirming that the Indian Railway is soon going to introduce a new separate trains for Jagdalpur and Junagarh.
