Bhubaneswar: The director general, Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), Omkar Rai, met the Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik, here on Friday.
The STPI DG appraised Patnaik about the various initiatives being under taken by the STIP India in collaboration with the Odisha government.
The chief minister while appreciating the initiatives like Entrepreneur Park, Fablab, Data Centre, VARCoE and SMARTLAB assured the DG that all supports needed for future endeavours would be extended by the State government to the STPI.
STPI India, a society established in 1991 by the ministry of electronics and IT, has played a seminal role in India and has earned a reputation as an information technology superpower. STPI has a presence in many major cities of India including the cities of Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Trivandrum, Kanpur, Bhubaneswar, Kolkata, Mumbai, Nagpur, Warangal, Kakinada, Lucknow, Pune, Surat, Tirupati, Vijayawada, and Visakhapatnam.
