Bhubaneswar: The Odisha chief minister, Naveen Patnaik, has distributed the responsibility of 13 premier medical colleges and hospitals among 10 top bureaucrats of the State. The senior officers have been appointed as co-ordinating officers for medical colleges and hospitals.
The development commissioiner, Suresh Chandra Mohapatra, will be supervise Sundergarh Medical College & Hospital of NTPC and Veera Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Science & Research, Burla. Agriculture Production Commissioner Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra will be incharge of Fakir Mohan Medical College and Hospital, Balasore and MKCG Medical College & Hospital, Berhampur.
The other senior officers who were given responsibility of the medical colleges and hospitals are additional chief secretary steel & mines RK Sharma(Govt. Medical College & Hospital, Keonjhar), principal secretary forest and environment Dr Mona Sharma( Jajpur Medical College & Hospital), principal secretary labour and women and child development Anug Garg ( Angul Medical College & Hospital of MCL), principal secretary revenue Nikunja Bihari Dhal( Santh Bhimo Bhoi Medical College & Hospital, Bolangir, and Kandhmal Medical College & Hospital), principal secretary finance AK Meena(Saheed Laxman Naik Medical College & Hospital, Koraput), principal secretary water resources Surendra Kumar(Pandit Raghunath Murmu Medical College & Hospital, Baripada), industries secretary Hemant Sharma (Govt. Medical College & Hospital, Bhawanipatna) and works secretary Krishan Kumar(Sree Jaganath Medical College & Hospital, Puri)
The co-ordinating officers will be responsible for improve overall performance, infrastructure development, and functioning of the concerned medical colleges and hospitals.
