Bhubaneswar: The Odisha chief minister, Naveen Patnaik, Wednesday said that his government is coming up with a Vision Document which aims at more than 50% value addition to the metal produced in the State for down stream development.
“I would encourage all large scale as well as MSMEs to work together in developing a robust downstream ecosystem in the State, which will lead to immense employment opportunities, as envisaged in the Vision 2030 for downstream development.
The chief minister inaugurated the three-day Enterprise Odisha 2019 organised by Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), Odisha Chapter, here on Wednesday.
Asserting that the Make-in-Odisha conclave was an overwhelming success, he said the conclave received investment intent of more than Rs 4 lakh crore. As many as 91 proposals have been approved and are at various stages of implementation.
Patnaik said that the next edition of the Make-in-Odisha conclave would be held between November 30 to December 4, 2020. He invited all the participants of the Enterprise Odisha2019 to work with government of Odisha in organising the conclave and participate in various events during the conclave.
The Start- Up Odisha initiatives have been working toward facilitation of start-ups, targeting emergence of Odisha amongst to three Start-Up Hubs by 2020. He called upon the young entrepreneurs to take maximum benefits from such initiatives.
Industries minister Dibya Shankar Mishra, industries secretary Hemant Sharma, CII Odisha chairman Pradipta Mohanty, past chairman MK Gupta and Vedanta Alumina CEO Rahul Sharma were present.
