New Delhi: The President of India has rejected the mercy plea by Mukesh Kumar Singh, on of the four facing death penalty in Nirbhaya rape and murder cases.
Mukesh along with Vinay Sharma had filed curative petition in the supreme court which had been rejected. Mukesh was also the lone convict who approached the Delhi high court against the death warrant issued to him. The high court, however, declined to entertain it.
With the rejection of Mukesh’s mercy plea by President of India it is now clear that all the four convicted in Nìrbhaya case would be hanged to death soon.
