New Delhi: The prime minister of India, Narendra Modi, Tuesday declared national lockdown from midnight to fight against COVID-19 pandemic. The lockdown would be for 21 days.
Modi also announced a Rs 15,000 crore package for building health infrastructures and facilities to fight COVID-19.
The prime minister, in an addressing to the nation, said that the 21 days lockdown is no way less than curfew. Stating that these 3 wèks crucial for the country, he appealed the people to remain in their respective homes.
The lockdown decision was to save the nation.
” If we don’t honour these 21 days lockdown period, the nation will go back by 21 years”, he cautioned.
