New Delhi: The government of India has further extended the nationwide lock down period another two weeks from 4th May.
The union home ministry in a notification extended till 17th May along with further relaxation in economic activities in green and orange zone.
All activities have been allowed in green zones. India has 319 green zones and Odisha has 21 such zones.
Now passenger buses will ply in green zone with only 50% capacity. Two wheeler with pillion rider is allowed in green zones.
Movement of taxies and online cabs has been allowed in orange zone. Six districts including Khorda have been declared orange zones.
Rickshaw, auto-rikshaw would not be allowed in red zones. Barbar shops, saloons will remain closed in red zones.
Medical OPD will remain open in red zone but not in containment areas.
However, air services, railway and inter-state movement will continue to be in ban for the whole nation. Similarly, places and occasions where large gatherings inevitable would in the ban list.
The 40 days lock down period has started giving good results. While number of red and orange zones has reduced, the number of green zones is increasing .
