Bhubaneswar: Ticket checking staff of Khurda Road division under East Coast Railway (ECoR) exhibited their honesty and integrity by returning a lost ladies purse with valuables worth over lakhs of rupees to its owner.
A left out ladies hand bag containing gold and silver ornaments worth lakhs of rupees and cash Rs 22,000 was found by the ticket checking staff on board of the New Delhi-Bhubaneswar AC special train on Saturday. The staff detected the owner of the bag and returned the same to the lady.
The bag was found on berth number 48 of coach B soon after the train left the Gaya station.
The train superintendent Kaushik Saha, deputy superintendents S.R.C. Raju and G.K.Anand immediately consulted with the passenger over phone and handed over the purse to the on duty Railway Police Force (RPF) escort at Gomoh Railway station with all documentations.
