New Delhi: The Centre’s stimulus package has crossed Rs 20 lakh cross.
Prime minister Narendra Modi had announced a stimulus package of Rs20 lakh crore which was about 10% of the nation’s GDP.
The finance minister, Nirmala Sitaraman, Sunday gave that the stimulus package is about Rs 20.97 lakh crore.
Giving details of the package she said she had announce Rs 5.94 lakh cried in the first tranche, Rs 3.10 lakh crore in second, Rs 1.50 lakh crore in third tranche of announcements. In the fourth and fifth tranches together the total is Rs 48,000 crore. She said earlier the government has announced a package of Rs 1.92 lakh crore in the form of Prime Minister Garib Kalyan Yajona. Besides, the RBI of its own has announced a package of about 9 lakh crore, she added.
