New Delhi: The government of India has extended the nationwide lockdown till 31st May 2020.
The ministry of home affairs has come out with the lock down extension notification stating ” considering the fact that the lock down measures need to be implemented for further period in the country to contain the spread of Covid-19, National Disaster Management Authority, in excercise of power under section 6(2) (1) of the Disaster Management Act 2005, here by directs the ministries /departments of government of India, State governments and State authorities to continue the lock down measures up to 31st May, 2020.”
The National Executive Committee of the NDMA will issue the guidelines keeping in view the need to open up economic activities while containing the spread of Covid-19.
This is for the fourth time the nationwide lock down has been extended.
