Bhubaneswar: World Sight Day 2020 was observed at the Bhubaneswar ESI Hospital, here on Thursday.
Leader of the Opposition and BJP senior legislator Pradipta Nayak joined the doctors and medicos to observe the World Sight Day at ESI Hospital.
The chief of ESI Hospital, Dr Dilip Kumar Sahu, an eminent opthalmologist, along with the other doctors, medicos and patients pledged to create awareness about preventable blindness.
Dr. Sahu said the theme of the World Sight Day this year is ‘Hope in Sight’. He said the global annual event s focusing on the global problem of blindness and visual impairment. It aims to raise public awareness world wide to minimize avoidable blindness and it creates commitment in ensuring the Right for Sight for all.
