Bhubaneswar, Aug 31, 2023: Tata Steel Mining Limited (TSML) organised a technical session on “Quality of Resource Estimation: impact on the assessment of productivity through mine-mill reconciliation” for Bhubaneswar Chapter of the Mining Engineers Association of India (MEAI), a premier organization dedicated to advancing the field of mining engineering, here on Thursday. The event brought together industry experts, professionals, and enthusiasts to foster the exchange of valuable insights and expertise in the mining sector.
The session witnessed an impressive turnout of participants who eagerly engaged in discussions and learning opportunities. The event was aimed at providing a platform for knowledge dissemination, networking, and collaboration, promoting the growth of mining engineering in the region.
The session featured distinguished speaker Dr. Abani R. Samal, Principal, GeoGlobal, LLC, Utah, USA who shared his experiences, research findings, and innovative ideas on a range of pertinent topics such as mining value chain, mineral resource and reserve, mineral resource estimation, variabilities in grade tonnage estimates due to interpolation parameters and importance of accuracy of resource and reserve models.
