Bhubaneswar: Odisha chief minister Mohan Majhi, who left for New Delhi Wednesday evening to scout for invesrment in the State, said that his government has enhanced the investment target to Rs 5 lakh crore in next five years from Rs 2.50 lakh crore set for five years earlier.
Majhi told reporters at Bhubaneswar airport that during the first 100 years of his government investment worth Rs 45,000 crore has already been received in the State. Majhi said he would have one-to-one discussion with potential investors during his two day visit to the capital of the country. He said he would also attend an investors meet at Delhi to appraise the investors about the favourable investment climate in the State. The State industries minister Sampad Swain and industries principal secretary Hemant Sharma are accompanying the CM.
“We would pitch for investments in sectors like food processing, IT, chemicals and petro chemicals”, Majhi told media persons.
The CM said the next Utkarsh Odisha : Make -in – Odisha would be held on January 28 and 29, next year.
