Barbil (Odisha ): ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India), a leading steelmaker, under its CSR initiative- ‘Padhega Bharat’ has taken a major step in enabling education of rural students by providing study materials to 10* class students of Government Girls High School and St. Mary’s Odia High School in Barbil, and Kalmang High School, Sagasahi. About 198 students have been provided with test papers which is a critical study material for the preparation of the 10″ board examination.
Laxman Mohanta, Former Counsellor of Ward 2 of Barbil distributed the study materials to the students in presence of Ms Suchitra Mohanta, Headmistress of Government Girls High School, Barbil, Prasanta Kumar Parida, Cluster Resource Community Coordinator (CRCC), Block Education Office, Koira, Satyakama Das, Mines Manager, Ghoraburhani Sagasahi Iron Ore Mines, AM/NS India, Pramod Acharya, Welfare Officer, Thakurani Mines, AM/NS India, Vincent Nayak, Headmaster of Kalmang High School, and Lambodar Mohanta, Principal of St. Mary’s Odia High School, Barbil.
Applauding the initiative, Laxman Mohanta said that such types of quality study materials will be of great help for the students in the rural area to prepare for the exams. This initiative of AM/NS India is a testament to the company’s commitment to creating a positive impact on the lives of students in its operating locations.
