Bhubaneswar : The Odisha State cabinet, which met under the chairmanship of chief minister Mohan Majhi, here on Wednesday, accorded its approval to all the 9 proposals tabled by 10 departments for consideration.
The chief minister along with chief secretary Manoj Ahuja and I & PR principal secretary Sanjay Kumar Singh, briefed the media about the decisions.
The State’s Memorandum to 16th FC has been cleared by the cabinet today. The 16th Finance Commission will visit the State during 4th to 7th February, 202 During the visit, a Memorandum containing proposals of the State shall be submitted the Commission.
The cabinet also approved the law departments proposal for age relaxation for selection of chairperson, other full-time non-off members and part-time members. The prescribed age in the Resolution has been abolished to avoid the difficulty faced while selecting eminent personalities with adequate knowledge in the field of law, administration and such technical matters to serve the best interest for which the Commission has been constituted.
