Bhubaneswar: Rashmi Ranjan Barik, a student of ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India)’s Daksh Academy at Paradeepgarh in Jagatsinghpur district, has secured 49th rank in Odisha Civil Services (OCS) examination conducted by OPSC (Odisha Public Service Commission). His achievement stands as a testament to the transformative impact of AM/NS India’s flagship CSR initiative ‘Daksh’, which empowers local youth through free, high-quality coaching for competitive examinations.
Hailing from Balikuda in Jagatsinghpur, Rashmi’s journey reflects perseverance and resilience. A master’s degree holder in Physics from Ravenshaw University, he joined Daksh Academy to pursue his aspiration of serving society through public service. Guided by experienced faculty and mentors, he received academic support, strategic guidance, and personality development training that helped him remain focused and confident.
Rashmi was felicitated by Alok Mehta, Director – Mining & Strategic Projects, AM/NS India in the presence of Dr. Vikas Yadvendu, Head – CSR, and Suraj Mishra, Director & Founder, Gurukul Foundation in AM/NS India’s Bhubaneswar office.
