New Delhi: The Odisha chief minister, Naveen Patnaik, has formed a 10-member official team to follow up with the various ministry of the union government to ensure the release of pending Rs6,400 crore for the state in for 2018-19.
The Odisha chief minister, Naveen Patnaik, Monday said that the Center is yet to release a pending amount of Rs 6400 crore for Odisha with hardly one month left for the fiscal 2018-19 coming to an end.
Patnaik, after reviewing the position of dues from the Centre, here said the state is yet to receive more than Rs 1000 crore for housing, over Rs 375 crore in health, more than Rs 400 crore under MNREGS and over Rs 650 crore in Agriculture from the Central government.
“The Central government has released a meagre Rs6 crore out of the Rs 200 crore fro the smart city poverty alleviation programmes”. Pointing out that the Center has provided Rs 80 crore out of its total share of Rs 180 crore for drinking water scheme, he said that the state is spending about Rs 3000 crore for the purpose from its own budget.
