Bhubaneswar: A special bench of Railway Claims Tribunal (RCT) will hold its court in Bhubaneswar to settle the claims of the victim persons of the Puri-Haridwar Kalinga Express accident. The train was derailed on August 18,2017 in Uttar Pradesh.
According to the East Coast Railway spokesperson, the Tribunal will hold its court at Odisha Forest Development Corporation (OFDC) building in Unit 3 area of Bhubaneswar from September 11 to 15 between 11AM to 3 PM.
The spokesperson has said that the person who has sustained the injury or suffered any loss, any agent authorised by the victim on his behalf, guardian of the victim in case of minor or the dependant of the deceased resulted from the above accidents can file the application for compensation with all relevant identity proofs in original like Aadhar Card, Voter Identity Card, Ration Card, Family Register, Resident proof including other relevant documents.
The chairman of Railway Claims Tribunal (RCT), in fact, has ordered for the special benches of Railway Claims Tribunals to inquire into and decide the compensation claims of the victims of the recent Kalnga Utkal Express & Kaifiyat Express accidents so that compensation can be handed over immediately without any delays.
The 18477 Puri-Haridwar Kalinga Utkal Express was derailed on August 19, 2017 and 12225 Azamgarh-Delhi Kaifiyat Express on August 23, 2017 in Uttar Pradesh. The special benches will be held at RCT Headquarters at 13/15 Mall Road, Delhi and also at five other places, Ghaziabad, Bhopal, Lucknow and Jaipur besides Bhubaneswr from 11th September 11 to 15, 2017.
