Bhubaneswar: The Odisha chief minister, Naveen Patnaik, Wednesday assured that the demands of the Odisha Revenue Services Association (ORSA) would be considered sympathetically.
“The state government has taken various steps to improve the service prospects of the cadre. We are aware of your demands and consider these with a sympathetic attitude, ” Naveen said while addressing the annual general body meeting of ORSA, here on Wednesday.
Stating that solving the land related issue of the people is a major challenge, he urged the revenue officers to deal with the matter with absolute transparency and a sympathetic attitude. Creating a hassle- free mechanism for people is required to be developed, he said adding, using technology and maintaining a data base of the land records can reduce much of the cumbersome process in this field.
ORSA president Rabi Naryan Barik presided over the meeting while revenue & disaster management principal secretary CS Kumar and ORSA secretary Rajendra Acharya spoke on the occasion.
