19.85 Madhubabu Pension holders to get Rs 100 for umbrella this summer
Bhubaneswar: The state government has decided to give Rs 100 for purchase of umbrella during this summer to the beneficiaries of Madhubabu Pension Yojana.
The social security and empowerment of physically disabled persons principal secretary, Nitin Chandra, said that the amount would be transferred to the accounts of old age, widow, disabled persons and others covered under Madhubabu Pension Yojana with their regular pension on May 15, 2018.
The state government in 2008 introduced the Madhubabu Pension Yojana with a view to provide social security to elderly persons, widows, physically handicapped persons and destitute. The government is giving Rs 300 per month as pension to these people. Over 19,85,024 beneficiaries are provided pensions to the tune of Rs 340 crore per annum.
