Bhubaneswar: The Goods & Services Tax( GST) Council Law Review Committee is meeting here from May 10 to 12 to deliberate on further simplification of the GST regime in the country.
The three day meeting, which will be attended by GST draft committee chairman and 1982-batch IRS officer PK Mohanty, will finalize the recommendations made by the GST Law Advisory Committee. Over 30 delegates of Law Review Commitee and Law Advisory Committee will participate in the deliberations.
The Odisha commercial tax commissioner, Saswat Mishra, will attend the meeting.
The Law Advisory Committee, which has been constituted by the union finance ministry to study the glitches in the the GST laws with a view to simplify it further, has come out with a set of recommendations after consultations with various stake holders of GST.
The GST Law Review Committee will finalize the recommendations for the GST Council to take a final call on it.
