Bhubaneswar: Utkal Rangamancha, an auditorium for performing art in the premises of GKCM Odissi Research Centre, was opened for the public, here on Saturday.
The state culture and tourism minister, Ashok Chandra Panda inaugurated the auditorium along with the local MLA Priyadarshi Mishra, culture secretary Manoranjan Panigrahi and culture director Bijaya Kumar Nayak .
The two hundred seater auditorium is fully air conditioned with the best sound and light facilities. It is the super speciality auditorium where one gets multiple facilities such as a beautiful stage, well structured green rooms, VIP lounge, guest rooms, generator and an open air cafeteria.
The chief executive of GKCM, Sangita Gosain, Utakal University of Culture vice chancellor Kamal Kant Mishra, registrar Suman Dash, Odissi dance guru Ratikanta Mohanty, Padma Shree awardee Odissi exponent Aruna Mohanty, Bhubaneswar Music Circle general secretary Khirod Patnaik and local corporator Bharati Singh were present on the occasion.
