Bhubaneswar: Top global companies like UC Rusal, KJTS, UHM are coming to Odisha to explore possibility of investments in Angul Aluminium Park, jointly promoted by Central sector aluminium major Nalco and Odisha government concern Idco.
The Nalco CMD, TK Chand, who pitched for the park at the 7th Session of India-Russia Sub-Group on Mining as a potential area for cooperation for Russian investment and technology collaboration. The Sub-Group under the India-Russia Working Group on Modernization and Industrial Cooperation met at New Delhi on Tuesday to identify areas of cooperation and collaboration.
Industry experts say this will bring in Russian high-end technology in downstream units of the park, which will help the Aluminium Park achieve global standards. Apart from this, there are areas like collaboration for strategic minerals like cobalt, lithium, which has also been agreed upon.
